Short Hate Temper/Harsh/Quill - 10" Split

T.V.G. Records, 2000

This is a straight triple whammy of sick fastcore and power violence, so you better have your guard up or you're getting your ass knocked out. I'll keep this short and simple. Short Hate Temper starts this out and it's just some damn good dual vocalist power violence. Plenty of blasts, plenty of D-beats, everything you need. They are my favorite band on this split. Harsh, from Finland, is a pretty rad blend of first generation power violence with grinding riffs and blasts from hell. Very reminiscent of Crossed Out, brutal. Quill is the band I was already familiar with when I got this record. Japanese fastcore, which in my opinion doesn't have the heavy sludge parts to justify a power violence tag, but they are entirely too weird, thrashy and aggressive to just be passed off as hardcore. 34 tracks. 23 minutes. That just spells good times. You won't regret pressing that button down there. PINK VINYL!
